One of the most common instruments for students to begin music lessons is the guitar. From famous guitar solos to classical virtuosos, people are drawn to the sound and image of guitarists, and want to become one themselves.
Beginners start with the basics of the instrument: holding, fingering, and picking. The students will learn the notes on the guitar, and how to read both tablature and music notation while playing exercises and simple melodies. When they have built a solid foundation of the instrument, they then move into basic chords. Intermediate students will begin learning more advanced chords, and will start playing along with songs. They will focus on chord progressions, and written solos. More advanced students learn jazz chords, and start developing their own soloing ideas.
