Whether you are a member of a school or community choir, or simply enjoy singing in the shower, the Close School of Music can help you develop and strengthen your singing voice!
Focusing on technique and pitch training, vocal lessons not only help the student improve their singing voice, but learn the proper way to utilize their voice and body while performing. This decreases the possibility of injuring the vocal chords, while strengthening the intensity of the voice.
Students will learn vocal warm-up exercises and scales, along with singing with songs to develop both their voice and ears. The students can bring in music from their school chorus for additional practice, or pick a favorite song.
The voice is an instrument and, just like any other instrument, Music Theory plays an important part in lessons. Students learn not only how to sing the song, but what they are singing and why. Music Theory makes it easier to sing melodies, and helps train the ear to hear the pitches of the music.
